When you want to play at one of the best public and private golf courses in San Francisco head to:
- TPC Harding Park at 99 Harding Rd
- Golden Gate Park Golf Course at 970 47th Ave
- Lincoln Park Golf Course at 300 34th Ave
- Poplar Creek Golf Course at 1700 Coyote Point Dr, San Mateo
- Peninsula Golf & Country Club at 701 Madera Dr, San Mateo
- Baylands Golf Links at 1875 Embarcadero Rd, Palo Alto
- Palo Alto Hills Golf & Country Club at 3000 Alexis Dr, Palo Alto
- Tilden Park Golf Course at 10 Golf Course Dr, Berkeley
TPC Harding Park is definitely one of the best golf courses near you and it is a great 18-hole par 72 course that opened in 1925 and it has a total length of 7,169 yards, 74.3 course rating, and 129 slope rating.
Golden Gate Park has a fun 9 hole par 3 course that opened in 1951 and today it has a course rating of 35.3, slope rating of 80, and a length of 1,302 total yards.
Lincoln Park has an 18-hole course with a 65.9 course rating, 110 slope rating, and a total length of 5,146 yards for a par of 68.
Poplar Creek Golf Course and Tilden Park Golf Course have 18 holes with lengths of 6,042 and 6,294 yards for pars of 70 plus course ratings of 70.1 and 71.3 and slope ratings of 117 and 128 respectively.
You can find a fun local 18-hole par 71 golf course with a total length of 6,680 yards, 72.4 course rating, and 129 slope rating at Baylands Golf Links which opened in 2018.
Peninsula Golf and Country Club and Palo Alto Hills Golf and Country Club have private 18-hole courses with pars of 71, course ratings of 72.2 and 72.1, slope ratings of 130 and 132, and lengths of 6,575 and 6,280 yards.
There are also plenty of amazing courses that are a few hours away like Pebble Beach, Chardonnay Golf Club, Silverado, Eagle Vines, and Hiddenbrooke but they are a little too far away for us to go into detail here. However if you are up for a drive we doubt you will regret playing at either.
