Today we will be breaking down the Winston-Salem golf scene. Courses, stores, driving ranges, Topgolf, and miniature golf in your area will all be discussed in full detail as this post goes along.
With that said we can’t come up with a better way to get this going than by listing the best public and private golf courses near you. They are the star of the show and deserve the top billing.
Contents
After they have been covered we will move on to the best local golf stores to buy new clubs, bags, balls, tees, apparel, and whatever other gear you might need. Then we will get into Winston-Salem golf driving ranges and putting greens for when you want to get some practice in.
Our final two things to mention will be about Topgolf and miniature golf courses in the area. We suggest that you stick around for the map towards the end so that you can figure out where all these courses and other spots are located.
This is a region we have written quite a few other posts on in the past if you are interested.
Best Golf Courses In Winston-Salem
The best public and private golf courses in Winston-Salem would be:
- Old Town Club at 2875 Old Town Club Rd
- Forsyth Country Club at 3101 Country Club Rd
- Salem Glen Golf & Country Club at 1000 Glen Day Dr
- Maple Chase Golf & Country Club at 5475 Germanton Rd
- Meadowlands Golf Club at 542 Meadowlands Dr
- Winston Lake Golf Course at 3535 Winston Lake Rd
- Reynolds Park Golf Course at 2391 Reynolds Park Rd

If you are lucky enough to get a tee time the 90 minute drive to Pinehurst is worth it, but it is a little too far away from the city for us to put it in the list.
Salem Glen, Maple Chase, and Meadowlands have PGA certified trainers on staff for anyone that is trying to take the best golf lessons near you.
Best Local Golf Stores
When you want to buy new clubs, balls, bags, apparel, or anything else shop at one of these golf pro shops near you:
- Golf Galaxy at 144 Stratford Common Ct
- Play It Again Sports at 5005 Country Club Rd
Golf Galaxy is a good local pro shop that can provide club repair and custom fitting services. Play It Again Sports isn’t really a golf store, it is an all-around sports store, but it can be a great place to buy cheaper new and used clubs, bags, balls, gloves, tees, and more in your area.
Obviously any of the courses from our first list will have nice pro shops too.
Driving Ranges & Indoor Simulators
Smiley’s Golf & Learning Center at 2397 West Clemmonsville Road is a good place to hit a bucket of balls plus there will be more driving ranges and practice putting greens at any of the courses from our first list.
Topgolf In Your Area
From what we know there is not a Topgolf in Winston-Salem but if that changes we will mention it.
Miniature Golf Near You
Adventure Landing at 1600 S Stratford Road has 3 mini golf courses with a total of 52 holes.
