Bethpage State Park is known for having one of the most challenging 18-hole championship golf courses in New York City, the black course which has hosted multiple majors including the PGA Championship and the US Open twice. Back in 1921 Winged Foot Golf Club which currently features two 18-hole championship courses with pars of 72 from their longest tees. The East course has a total length of 6,808 yards with a course rating of 73.7 and slope rating of 141 and the West course contains a total length of 7,426 yards, a 75.7 course rating, and a 141 slope rating. Like Bethpage Winged Foot has hosted multiple majors as the West course has hosted the US Open six times and the PGA Championship once. The East course may not have hosted any majors but the US Women’s Open and Senior Open have both taken place on it.

Marine Park Golf Course opened in 1964 while La Tourette Golf Course opened in 1936 and both have 18-hole par 72 courses with 72.2 and 71.3 course ratings, 123 and 121 slope ratings, and lengths of 6,866 and 6,692 yards respectively.

Dyker Beach Golf Course has been in business for over 125 years offering 18 holes on 6,438 yards for a par of 71 with a course rating of 70.5 and a slope rating of 118.

You can find a fun 9-hole par 32 golf course near you with 2,312 total yards, a 31.2 course rating, and 101 slope rating at Mosholu which opened in 1925.

Van Cortlandt Park Golf Course and Silver Lake Golf Course have 18 holes with lengths of 6,002 and 6,304 yards for pars of 70 plus slope ratings of 119 and course ratings of 68.5 and 70.4.

Another fun 18-hole par 72 course can be found at Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point which has a 146 slope rating, 76.3 course rating, and 7,407 total yards.

The local Douglaston Golf Course covers 5,469 yards and has 18 holes, a course rating of 65.5, slope rating of 110, and a par of 67.

The course at Kissena Park began allowing visitors in 1934 and this 4,665 total yard course with 18 holes has a par of 64 from its longest tees with a rating of 62.0 and a slope rating of 94.

Grand Oaks Country Club opened its private 18-hole par 72 course in 1972 which has a total length of 7,389 yards, 75.5 course rating, and 135 slope rating.

Fresh Meadow Country Club opened in 1946 and features an 18-hole championship golf course with 6,749 total yards and a par of 70 from its longest tees along with a course rating of 72.7 and a slope rating of 136.

Having opened in 1915 Quaker Ridge is home to a challenging par 70 18-hole championship golf course with 7,008 total yards, a course rating of 74.8, and a slope rating of 140.

People began playing at Forest Park Golf Course in 1896 and today you can enjoy their 6,053 total yards on 18 holes for a par 72 from the longest tees. The course has a water hazard on three of its holes and has a course rating of 69.2 and a slope rating of 119.

Expect to find a par 70 18-hole championship golf course that opened at the beginning of the 20th century at Dunwoodie with 5,778 total yards, a course rating of 67.4, and a slope rating of 118.

Inwood Country Club was established in 1901 and features a top notch 18 hole golf course that is 6,639 total yards from the longest tees for a par of 71 with a course rating of 73.0 and a slope of 134.
